Description:
The project required complete interior and exterior repairs of the
laboratory building including extensive mechanical systems with
air handling equipment, chillers, high pressure ductwork and laboratory
piping; complete electrical systems including power, fire alarm,
lighting and communications; shaft wall construction; demountable
partitions; new elevators; slate and built up roofs; laboratory
furniture and equipment; exterior utilities, paving, and walks;
complete interior finishes.
Notable accomplishments include extensive coordination
and rigging for limited mechanical/electrical spaces. In addition,
the building exterior work had to meet exacting historical standards.
