Description:
This new presidential memorial to honor Franklin Delano Roosevelt
covers 7.5 acres as part of the 26 acre project site. The Memorial
is built entirely of stone with a concrete substructure supported
on steel piles. Memorial features include extensive mechanical/fountain
work, lighting, ornamental artwork and sculptures, stone inscriptions,
and landscaping. Sitework included utility services and relocation,
ground water control, new roads and walks, and site amenities.
