Description:
National Japanese American Memorial site is a stone plaza with curved
and battered stone walls enclosing sculptures and a pool. The site
required extensive tree preservation, excavation, shoring, and utility
work prior to pouring the concrete foundations. The memorial features
numerous sculptures and inscriptions. Surrounding the memorial are
new roads, walks, and landscaping.
