Description:
The projects consisted of repairs to the roof, and the addition of pedestrian bridges.

The restoration of the roof (valued at about $8,000,000) covered the entire area, but only repaired 10% of the surface. The project was almost half each repairs to slate roof and built up roof. Associated work included removal and replacement of catwalks, various architectural repairs, and relocations of mechanical/electrical systems and equipment.

The pedestrian bridges are the first ever addition to the historic Pentagon building. They provide access for pedestrians from the parking lots while maintaining traffic around the building. They also provide office and loading dock space at the building. The bridges are built of architectural concrete and stone to match the existing structure. Associated work included extensive utility relocation as well as new roads and walks.
