Description:
Phase I of the Washington Monument Renovation consisted of a complete
exterior restoration including stonework, lightning protection,
and new windows. This phase featured the full height scaffold with
lighting and fabric matching the form of the Monument. The second
phase will provide a security wall around the perimeter, a visitor
center, and new site/landscape improvements.
